The Pale Phoenix | First Rebirth
From the last sliver of the soul of a dying star, a phoenix is reborn.Death re-weaved her fate.
A favor for a good friend you could say.As the drop of sun slips through the hands of death- between the fabric of space and time,
falling into a small nest of ashes.With barely enough power to manifest in all the colorful glory that a phoenix should possess.A white phoenix was born.Stripped of almost all color,
But still so beautiful.At first she didn’t know where, how or why she was still alive.Her memories, scattered, a jumble and incomplete.But still she can piece some together,
memories of love and light,
friends and family discovered through the millenia,
of the many different worlds and planets.
Of . . . earth.Though not all her memories were intact,
and she was not completely the same person,
her heart remained the sameAnd she remembers the soft light she shone on the planets for millenia as a star from above-When the star Sol Nayeli died that fateful day, something changed in her.The first thing she noticed, was that her soul was no longer tied to Lucienne Nayeli, her twin star.Despite being newborn, she also soon quickly realized that she no longer had the expectations, duties or responsibility she shouldered as the constellation of loveShe was no longer the 'CorCordium'.
Born into existence from the hearts of men, and held in place by the wishes of mortalsAs a star, she could never truly leave her place.
When she visited the realms, she could only manifest in astral form, never physically.Never able to truly be in the world for herself.Never able to touch anything
Or make a change in the universeEven despite the chaos, war, famine, hatred and darkness of the ages
gods' werent allowed to interfere with the mortal fate-As years went by, and she grew used to her new physical form,
she thought"Maybe this new start isnt so bad. I don't have to be the being I used to be. Though I have memories of the past, I can now make my own path. With my own hands, and with my new form, I can travel the worlds, from planet to planet – dimension to dimension, and spread the flames of hope as i go,
this time up close. "And so it began,-Leaving all but her name 'Sol',
The small phoenix Torisae Sol'aria. set herself on a journeyAt first a tiny hatchling.
But soon enough she grew,
She was beautiful, fully grown.Her split left eye, and a large tattoo on her back the only physical reminder of the person she used to be.Now in her own way,
with her torisuki,
she travels and spreads her light,
even in the darkest of places.There will always be souls in need after allThe fires of love – will never CEASE.

She was a rarityIn her first world,
when she appeared, they were curiousA pretty pure white phoenix,
who reflected colors in the sunTelling stories of deities and starsFor a time the people of this world were delighted,Many came to hear her legends foretold
and many more to ask for advice
as she seemed wise
beyond what one would assume from her outer visageThen,
some became greedy.And began sowing doubt into the minds of the people :'A mere mortal, imitating a revered celestial race.'Fascination, turned into disdain
and disdain into rejectionWhen in reality,
evil sought to use her powers
for themselves.-It became a witch huntAnd because of their greed, an accident occurred-They call it 'The Greying'Sol was in a new vessel you see,
she had to learn how to control centuries, millenniums worth of cosmic powerPowers that were returning a little more with every passing stepAnd in her distress, that world was destroyedEvery color in that world, was drawn into the little phoenix
But only red stained her feathers
eventually fading into shades of pinkAs if to remind herself of the blood she spilt,
even if they too in a way, deserved it-It was hard to find a footing in the big wide worlds after that, as a newly born and nameless bird who caused a worldwide class catastropheSome were on her side, feeling the incident justified,
many more were apprehensive.But over time, she proved herself

A Phoenix's Nest
A phoenix nest is surrounded by plumes of ashes and color.Though these days, every phoenix reborn or reincarnated go to
the nurseries of the City of Birds.Usually only a single egg lies in one phoenix nest as it reincarnates and is reborn.Phoenixes can copulate,
however fertility rate is extremely low.On top of that,
as there are not many of them -
and the chances of wanting to mate with another
is not certainAs such,
The 'phoenix' stays rare.
Sol in particular was born from the stillborn egg
of two phoenixesAfter all, to occupy a vessel - you'd need it to be empty first.
Her Mate
The peoples speak,
of a mythical city, known as
The City of Birds.It is accessible only if one possesses the blood of an avian.
An ethereal plane, hidden deep within.As powerful entities, as well as messengers
they were bound to cross paths at some point.Thus. it is here that the phoenix first found her solmate.

Great Eared Nightjar; a rare bird of dragon-feline-like features
Nightjars are known to be messengers of death,
as with many misunderstood avian such as :
e.g. crows, ravens, vultures and the likeBirds like these are also called 'soul-birds'.
Re-known for being tasked to carry the souls of the dead
to the Underworld.This particular bird had spent many years, the familiar of a demon -
until he gained enough power to go out into the world for himself.Among his many travels,
one day he was given a mission to retrieve the soul of a star.
A tall order.But it was there he first interacted with Sol,
even before she was reincarnated.As the journey was long and arduous,
they had much time to get along,
and it was then a lifetime friendship was formed,
ironic as it was.Soon after, death came looking for their friend,
and gave Sol her second chance
as a phoenix.As a soul-bird - he recognized her even after reincarnation,
and their relationship never faltered.They went through much together,
and were best friends for many years, until one day something clicked.
He was an impressive great eared nightjar,
who possessed feathers decorated with the deep blue of the ocean,
and tinged the color of the salmon sunset.A rare bird of dragon-like features.He was incredibly floofy.And that's the story of how I met your mother.

The empire of letters.The main hub of every cross-world avian messenger service.
Every bird big and small that needs to pass through the
intergalactic/interdimensional system,
or make a name for themselves -
has to first go through here.Not all birds are powerful enough to withstand the
magic particle transfer (MPT) that occurs upon passing through a portal,
or are allowed into this sanctuary,
mainly for security purposes
Special types include i.e. messengers of gods, griffins, harpies, etc.However, upon the accompaniment of a more powerful being and a sacred permit,
any bird, or being with bird in their blood can also come
into these mythical grounds.The avian empire is filled with portals,
varying types of sky transport,
bird-like structures, aerial roosts and nesting grounds.Birds does not only include the feathery friends we know and love,
but also the humanoid kind, or even peoples
who have partial avian in their ancestries.The plane of existence naturally rejects anything else
from entering it's atmosphere.An ancient and powerful spell also exists over the entire empire,
which prevents anyone that is not a bird from speaking of it's whereabouts or how to enter the city of birds.

The 7 official permits required to enter the City of Birds,
they are sacred as the empire is considered holy avian ground
Only 7 permits are allowed to be lent for use every millennia,
and there are only one true original of each.Copies are given out to companies and individuals who are trusted by the governing families.It is said that when you ring a copy of the seal
against the feather of a griffin,
it makes a beautiful sound, thus discouraging forgery.They are specially claw-crafted
and customized to represent the 7 districts of the empire, and each have varying central purposes.However, the masters of these keys have rarely ever changed throughout the millennia

The possession of them depends on numerous criteria,
including going through all the necessary mountains of paperwork,
having a trustworthy track record for the last 7000 years
and sufficient ability and birdpower to protect the permit.Can't have the city of communication
fall into the wrong hands after all, as the heads of each family - will then act as a council for the city.Every notable guilds' greatest desire,
mostly for business purposes,
and extensively sought after,
even despite its extremely strict holding requirements
due to them being very powerful relics.Other than that,
simply by acquiring the permit
it increases your prominence, reputation, allows for an ease
on import & export taxes,
and being on the priority list for portal usage,
among many other benefits.It signifies that you are an entity to be revered and trusted.But the main reason they are so highly coveted are due to the
2 different special effects that the seals can give :(1) A buff as a staff under the family possessing a permit,(2) A buff given to those who somehow manage to receive legal copies of the permit.There is usually a main specie of bird that is in control of each seal. However, the members under them are of many genus.
Inventors Permit
The Inventor seal
This permit is mainly sought after by creative and innovative families.
It puts the company in charge of the cities inventions and the authority to govern over most creative projects.Permissions for every invention above a certain danger level have to be overseen by them.They say this seal also has the energy to power a thousand cities.Being a member of this company allows you to record your dreams and memories.Receiving a permit elevates your harmony with your natural elements, and boosts creativity.They are called The Inventōrem. Currently under the owls.
Gatekeepers Permit
The Gatekeeper seal
This permit is mainly sought after by mail and messenger families.
It puts the company in charge of anybird or vessel that passes through the gates of the City of Birds.One of the most powerful artifacts in all the worlds, because the one who controls the gates, controls every message in the world.Also the main, most important and hardest permit to get.Depending on your ability,
being under this company inherently gives you the power to inspect the authenticity of permits - as well as sense the aura of a being.By receiving a permit, you gain a layer of protection while traversing.It is said that if you have bad intentions towards the city,
the power of this seal will make you lose your ability to fly.They are called The Ostiarius. Currently under the griffins.
Magicians Permit
The Magicians seal
This permit is mainly sought after by magicals, warlocks and witches.
It puts the company in charge of every magical bird.Any bird that is inherently magic, or wants to learn the ways of the mystic has to first be registered through them.The older you are as a member of this company, the greater your mana regeneration becomes. Thus most staff are very quick spellcasters.Receiving a permit releases any limiters over your magic as an avian and increases mana.They are called The Magi. Currently under the nightjars.
Blacksmiths Permit
The Blacksmiths Seal
This permit is mainly sought after by craftsmen, weapons manufacturers and air forces.Every bird, who wants a good armor, weapon, charm or trinket will be able to find their mark with a company under them.Being under this company enhances the success rate of your craft, and identify hidden properties of materials.Depending on your skill, receiving a permit also allows you to foresee the success rates of your craft and identify unknown objects.They are called The Faber Ferrarius. Currently under the tengu.
Recorders Permit
The Recorders seal
This permit is mainly sought after by gods, grim reapers and fateweavers.They specifically record the fates and destinies of every bird, or being with the blood of an avian (bird-blooded).After a certain amount of time, being trained under this company allows you to have glimpses or insights into the future.Beings are taken in,
rather than permits given out to applicants
due to the nature of the work.They are called The Scriptoribus. Currently under the yatagarasu family.
Caretakers Permit
The Caretakers seal
This permit is mainly sought after by medics as well as to protect chicks, especially young endangered and/or rare bird younglings.It is the only company that has 2 branches led by 2 different birds.Many winged beings have been housed under this company, as they specialize in the healing of avian-kind and chick care.Being under this company, boosts your regeneration rate and healing abilities.
Beings don't need a permit to be under them,
as they are like hospitals and nurseries.The medic branch is called The Lenire. Currently under the caladrius family.The other is called The Altrix. Currently under the robin family.Together, they form The Amare.

Transporters Permit
The Transporters Seal
This permit is mainly sought after by non-bird companies.
Every airborne craft that crosses worlds has to receive their permit through them.Not to be confused with the Gatekeepers Permit, as most birds carry their packages on themselves rather than using a vessel.Depending on your magic ability,
being a member under this company gives you some control over the weather.Receiving a permit will increase the winds in your favor,
and get you faster to your destinations.They are called The Nuntius. Currently under the albatross family.

Some even say that it was the sole work of one particular warlock.

The heart of hearts is the center in which what most need and want and hope to do or be in the world lives.The metaphor here is center/periphery, innermost/outermost: it prioritizes perceived goods by their “centrality” within the person.
That is one metaphor among many.If you made a truly honest list of your wants and needs — hierarchy represented vertically —

The bottom of her hair glows like the sun at dawn, if you peek under her wing feathers - you will see the same light.She has several bird-like features,
which include two long bird ears with a tear on the right -
likely from a former incident;
and pink stained wings.Her hair and feathers reflect different colors in the sun.Sol's feet are paws not talons like a regular bird

See 'Shapeshifting' in : A List of PowersHer regular attire is a clear pink hood, gradient pink to purple qipao,
with long translucent sleeves adorning wisteria leaved patterns
down to her ankles, decorated by gold edges.To the bottom left of the dress, is a see-through panel that actually features the words 'SOLARIA LORE'

I didn't ask my mama to fix it)
An asymmetrical thigh high on her left, and lace on the right knee - connected by a gold band with a flower - links the scroll Sol always keeps on her right.
Her feet are encircled by two golden circlets and purple open toe socks adorned with gold ankles.Sol has a gradient blue to gold half-of-a-heart tag on her right bird ear, which is an allusion to the tattoo on Sol's back when she was a star.
The two stars had two halves of a heart imprinted on their backs.
See reference sheet of 'Sol Nayeli'She has sharp golden finger claws on the three fingers of each hand.Other accessories include;
a golden panel tied to the right side of her fringe.
a wisteria pendant chain on her face,

The wisteria motif comes from the fact that wisterias represent
'immortality' - because Sol is a phoenix.
Her current clothing and general appearance are a result of her current view of herself (as she is an entity of sorts).Sol's blood is purple,
pink comes from the bloodstains of the people.*Perhaps it will one day remove itself,*

too nervous and socially awkward to ask my mama
to change my colors

'Light'Upon closer inspection of it's print,
researchers have concluded that at least on the inside,
the scroll looks different to every individual.But ask anyone who has looked once inside,
and most will say this :
'It lead me to where I needed to go'
A Phoenix Hatchling
Baby Sol back in her chickhood days
She was born, a ball of fluff - as with any other baby bird.Starting as a little black ball of ash and slime,
her feathers cleanse themselves
until she becomes a pure white featherball
whose feathers shine like a rainbow under the sun.
Over time, under the care of the City of Birds
she grows up into a beautiful humanoid being
as every healthy phoenix has the capacity to.See 'Caretakers Permit' in : City of BirdsShe also possesses a full phoenix form,
however unfortunately,
most mortals would not be able to stand the heat.Not that she has ever tested that theory out.

The remnants of the people leaving what's left of their planet
A worldwide class catastrophe that stripped all color from the planet [[REDACTED:WORLDNOLONGEREXISTS]{rED}](#mercurialis) that is now abandoned.Residents of whom were evacuated as a result of a disasterFollowing the outburst of the white phoenix, the entity known as Torisae Sol'aria.At first glance, many wondered why the people of [REDACTED:WORLDNOLONGEREXISTS]{rED} left their entire planet
and homes so quickly,It would soon be known that the life force of the planet itself was being drained,
and with it all color from the world,
the planet [REDACTED:WORLDNOLONGEREXISTS]{rED} was eroding.Starting from
the place her blood was spilt

on the day she changed into what we now know to be Torisae Sol'aria
The planet started changing,
as if it was rejecting the people themselves
for committing such an atrocity against a celestial beingFood and water lost their taste,
once fertile soil held no nutrients and dried up,Animals no longer roamed the skies, mountains and what was left of forests all but started becoming weaker
and eventually dying mysteriously,And more importantly people too were starting to lose sense of themselves,
the weaker minded ones eventually becoming literal grey husks
and worse
'The Grey Sickness' they called itUntil almost everything was desolate and gone,

She spoke of how she used to be a goddess in the stars, her millenniums overlooking countless beings, and the powerful friends she made.And how she was reborn as a phoenix.Many were in awe,

most were just curious.Gods and phoenixes were very rare, highly regarded beings,
and usually did not mix with mortalsBut as news of her travelled across the planet, the people of the underworld started picking up on it too.And to these people, she was a golden opportunity

in order to house the souls of the beings who support her.Through these vessels,
they can accompany Sol on her travels
without getting seriously hurt,

They are created in the shape of baby phoenixes,
although each individuals' form changes slightly
to adapt to the soul inside it.They do not grow, and will forever stay cute baby phoenixes.
Only one soul can fill a single torisuki vessel.And only a small portion of the soul is imprinted upon each vessel in order for them to come to life.Through these vessels, torisuki can see, hear, smell, taste and feel everything around them.
A close example would be that these vessels function like an advanced VMMORPG.
